Natasha Jung, the Municipality of Kananga’s representative for Miss Universe 2024, has announced her withdrawal from the upcoming pageant.

On Instagram, Natasha said that “personal reasons” caused her withdrawal from the competition.

“As of the moment, I would like to prioritize my personal growth and commitments, and not to further involve the organization on the matter. While stepping away as an official candidate of Miss Universe Philippines 2024, I will, nonetheless remain committed to, and continuously promote my individual causes,” she said, adding that she will use this time to reflect on herself.

“It is essential for me to take this opportunity to ensure that I am in the best possible state to navigate through this challenges effectively. I will also be evaluating my future commitments and endeavors, ensuring that I am able to dedicate myself fully when the time is right.”

Natasha then expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to be Miss Universe Philippines-Kananga 2024.

“At the same time, I would also like to extend my sincerest apologies to the organization of Miss Kananga, fellow participants, sponsors, supporters, most especially Ms. April Tanhueco – Miss Universe Philippines Kananga Accredited Partner for any nuisance, trouble or inconvenience caused by my withdrawal,” she said.

Natasha ended her post by writing, “Again, Sorry and thank you.”

Prior to her withdrawal, Natasha joined the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 candidates in their press presentation last weekend.

On Wednesday, fans noticed that Natasha was no longer included when the organization uploaded the candidates’ official headshots.

Sparkle star Michelle Dee is the reigning Miss Universe Philippines. She finished in the top 10 of the international pageant last year.
