IN the Ilonggo vernacular, “haplos” refers to a soothing, calming, comforting touch or caress, while “bahandi” means precious. Combining both, “Haplos Bahandi” or “precious touch” has been the title of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) Iloilo Bahandi Chapter’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program since its chartering in 2019. In the truest sense, “Haplos Bahandi” literally and figuratively means making an impact using the power of hands and its capacity to mold, hone, develop as well as to provide support, comfort and compassion.

UAP Iloilo Bahandi has continuously upheld its commitment to national building through its capacity to impact communities for the past four years.
