Two men in Catanduanes wounded in separate bolo attacks

A man in Catanduanes was wounded after his cousin hacked him in the back during a heated argument.

In a 24 Oras report on Monday, police investigation showed both men were in a drinking session amongst friends prior to the incident in Barangay Maysuram in the town of Caramoran.

Witnesses said an argument suddenly erupted, with the suspect arming himself with a bolo that he used to hack the victim on the back.

The victim was rushed by relatives to the Pandan District Hospital for medical treatment.

The barangay captain turned the suspect over to responding policemen.

Meanwhile, a senior citizen in the town of Gigmoto, Catanduanes  was also wounded after he was attacked by his brother.

Police said the victim was in a drinking session with friends inside his house when the suspect suddenly entered armed with a bolo.

The suspect allegedly attacked his brother. Investigation showed the two men have a long standing dispute over property.  

Witnesses immediately called help from police which apprehended the suspect.—RF, GMA Integrated News
