Sanya Lopez just did her own version of the viral “Maria Clara” challenge on TikTok!

The Sparkle actress shared a clip of her doing the hand steps while the lyrics “Mga tipo mo’y mestiza na chinita, habang ako’y morenang dalagang Pilipina; Tignan mo naman ako sa mga mata mo, wag kang kumaripas ng takbo” is playing in the background.

Sanya also used a flower filter to complement her “dalagang Pilipina” look.

“Morenang dalagang Pilipina,” she wrote in the caption, along with a Philippine flag emoji.

As of this writing, the video has garnered over 1 million views and over 100,000 likes on the microblogging platform.

Netizens can’t help but admire Sanya’s “dalagang Pilipina looks.”

“Gandang Pilipina,” a user wrote.

“Simple beauty of morena,” another user commented.  

The viral “Maria Clara” song is written and performed by rising Filipina singer Janah Rapas. The song has already garnered over 2,000,000 video uploads in TikTok.

Sanya recently received a star on the Eastwood Walk of Fame which according to the actress is “a dream come true.”

The “Encantadia” actress who played the role of Danaya said that she dedicates her Walk of Fame star to the late German Moreno.

Sanya is part of the upcoming historical drama series “Pulang Araw.” She joins a star-studded cast of Barbie Forteza, David Licauco, and Alden Richards.

She is also set to reprise her role as Danaya in “Sang’gre.”
