The Department of Agriculture (DA) on Thursday encouraged the public to support the Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) stores that will run in some areas in Metro Manila until next week.
The DA said the KNP will be open in different locations from March 18 to 27.
The agency said the KNP is the government’s initiative to provide a “lifeline” by granting rent-free selling areas to farmers and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Earlier, the DA facilitated the sale of more than 160 tons of highland vegetables through the Kadiwa Veggie Connect and other market linkage programs.
The Cordillera Association of Regional Executives collaborated with the DA for the Kadiwa Veggie Connect to help the agency monitor the supply and volume of unsold vegetables.
