Pura Luka Vega, inaresto muli dahil sa kontrobersiyal niyang ‘Ama Namin’ performance

Muling inaresto ang drag artist na si Pura Luka Vega kaugnay sa kontrobersiyal niyang “Ama Namin” performance noong nakaraang taon.

Sa X (na dating Twitter), inilahad ni “Drag Den Philippines” director Rod Singh na inaresto si Luka makaraang maglabas ng arrest warrant ang korte sa Quezon City “for three counts of the same crime.”

“This stemmed from a complaint filed against them by three churches affiliated with the Philippines for Jesus Movement,” saad ni Singh. “The recommended bail is 360,000 pesos.”

Inihayag din ni Singh na P720,000 ang naging piyansa ni noong February 26 sa Pasay City, “after the city prosecutor found partial merit in the complaint filed by the Kapisanan ng mga Social Media Brodkaster ng Pilipinas.”

Ang piyansa ay para sa anim na bilang ng paglabag ni Luka sa Article 201 (immoral doctrines, obscene publications and exhibition, and indecent shows) ng Revised Penal Code in relation to the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

Oktubre 2023 nang dakpin si Luka matapos na ireklamo siya bunga ng kaniyang kontrobersiyal at viral na “Ama Namin” performance na ipinost sa social media noong July 2023.

Para mailabas ng piitan, nagsagawa ng fundraising show ang mga kapuwa niya drag artists para makalikom ng pampiyansa.

Noong Disyembre, isa sa mga kaso na isinampa laban sa kaniya ang ibinasura. —FRJ, GMA Integrated News
