(On the part of the PNP, we implemented some security measures, particularly in areas of activities and festivities to make sure these would be safe.)

(We added police officers to the areas where there are activities related to the celebration of Eid’l Fitr.)
Eid’l Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. This is one of the most important occasions in Islam and is known as the festival of the breaking of the fast.
President Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. declared Wednesday, April 10, a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid’l Fitr or the Feast of Ramadan.
Through Proclamation No. 514, Marcos declared April 10 a regular holiday “to bring the religious and cultural significance of the Eid’l Fitr to the fore of national consciousness.”
Marcos said declaring Eid’l Fitr would “allow the entire Filipino nation to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony.” — DVM, GMA Integrated News
