Aside from acting, Alden Richards has ventured into directing and producing, having directed his upcoming film.
But how does he find balance in his acting and directorial roles?
According to Asia’s Multimedia Star, it is something that he’s found is “very difficult to do.”
“That’s very difficult, to be honest. But it’s a matter of mind conditioning naman eh,” Alden told GMA News Online during the general assembly of the Philippine Motion Pictures Producers Association (PMPPA) on Monday.
He shared that it’s sometimes easier to do a single role in a project, rather than doing multiple ones.
“Sometimes ideal pa rin talaga to do one project na isa lang ‘yung task mo. Na if you’re an actor in this film, act ka lang. If you’re the director, you should direct lang,” Alden said.
The Kapuso actor also shared that he “enjoys” the fun it brings, despite how demanding it is.
“I’m happy with what I’m doing and I’m seeing the result that I wanted for that certain project,” he said.
Earlier, Alden said that he wants to direct Heart Evangelista in a movie.
In November, the 32-year-old actor said that he is set to star in, produce, and direct an upcoming project, which, according to him, is something he has dreamt of doing.
He previously posted a photo of him on Instagram holding a professional camera, giving his followers a glimpse of himself in his first directorial job.
He also shared a photo of three folders that had “Producer Alden Richards,” “Alden Richards as Alex Roman Director,” and “Mr. Alden Richards as Director,” on them.
Alden recently starred in the blockbuster movie “Five Breakups and a Romance” with Julia Montes and in the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival movie “Family of Two (A Mother and Son Story),” with Sharon Cuneta. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
