CJ Perez and Don Trollano conspired as San Miguel eked out a 124-109 victory against Blackwater in a historic night in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday at the Philsports Arena.
Perez continued his solid showing in the All-Filipino tournament, putting together 26 points, five rebounds, five assists, and a steal on the same night the Beermen retired Arwind Santos’ jersey number 29.
Providing the lift was Trollano, who shone off the bench with 25 markers built on six three-pointers alongside two boards, one steal, and a block as San Miguel moved on cusp of an elimination round sweep with a 10-0 card.
The Bossing, meanwhile, dropped to 3-7.
June Mar Fajardo was also on point with a double-double of 21 points and 16 rebounds while Jericho Cruz and Terrence Romeo chipped in 14 and 12 markers apiece to lead the bench barrage.
The Beermen will look to lock the regular season sweep when they tackle the Meralco Bolts on Saturday.
