Czech Republic President Petr Pavel said Czech agriculture officials would visit the Philippines next week to establish cooperation that will support the country’s food security programs.

The visit of Czech Agriculture Minister Marek Výborný is part of the expansion of cooperation of food security initiatives.

Pavel said the Czech delegation would include businessmen for possible investmentsin agriculture and other key sectors.

Marcos said the Philippines is also interested to the medicines being used by Czech Republic to ensure the quality of meat and livestock.

”Those are the kinds of areas that we’re looking at. It’s really in terms of trade dahil we don’t grow the same products, we do not have seasons like they have here in the Czech Republic,” Marcos said.

“But in terms of livestock, I think marami tayong makukuhang bagong technology (we can get many forms of new technology),” he said. —NB, GMA Integrated News
