President Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos continue to experience flu-like symptoms but their conditions have improved, the Presidential Communications Office said on Thursday afternoon.

The PCO said that the First Couple has maintained stable vital signs but they are advised to continue medications and get some rest for full recovery.

Meanwhile, the PCO said the President continues to work in his residence as he handles correspondence and directives within medical advice.

Marcos is expected to resume full public engagement soon per his physician’s clearance.

Following their foreign trips in the previous weeks, the First Couple had developed flu-like symptoms, with the President being forced to cancel his events in the succeeding days.

Among his events that have been cancelled include the presidential luncheon hosted by the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines on Thursday.
