Holy Week has begun, and it’s time to look inward, reflect on our past actions and experiences, and recharge to be better versions of ourselves and to serve God and others.

Here are five songs to help guide your meaningful reflection times.

1. ‘Touch the Sky’ by Hillsong UNITED and Taya

“Touch the Sky” by Hillsong UNITED and Taya is the perfect soundtrack for surrendering. The classic track tackles moving past pride and sins, and being forgiven by the Lord.

2. ‘Oceans’ by Hillsong UNITED

Another classic song by Hillsong UNITED, “Oceans” serves as a reminder that although life can get challenging, having faith and trust in Jesus can do wonders to the way we live our lives, and that He gives us strength to keep going.

3. ‘Take Me Out of the Dark’ by Gary Valenciano

Sometimes, the low moments just unexpectedly hit hard and we feel unworthy of love. But with the help of Gary Valenciano’s ballad, “Take Me Out of the Dark,” it is a way to remember that God has never left our sides no matter what happens.

4. ‘Huwag Kang Mangamba’ by Noel Cabangon and Philippine Madrigal Singers

“Huwag Kang Mangamba” is a song heard in most churches and with good reasons, because it is as if God Himself is giving you this message. This moving version by Noel Cabangon and the Philippine Madrigal Singers is a loving way to know that you are not alone, no matter which phase of life you are in.

5. ‘Tahan Na’ by Victory Worship

“Tahan Na” by Victory Worship is a contemporary worship track that can accompany you for whenever you feel like giving up. The band sings about how despite feeling down, there are still countless reasons to live and push through with life. And with God’s guidance, keeping that faith is a huge motivation in itself to keep going.
