Several houses were destroyed after a flash flood triggered by heavy rains ravaged Davao City, according to a “24 Oras” report on Friday.
The combined effects of localized thunderstorms and easterlies have been causing rains in several parts of Mindanao.
A river in Barangay Tamayo overflowed inundating nearby areas.
In Barangay Toril, several residents who went to the river to take a dip had to leave and secure their belongings when the water level rose.
Meanwhile, a tornado in Datu Montawal, Maguindanao del Sur destroyed several houses and toppled trees.
