De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde ruled the men’s and women’s division of the NCAA Season 99 lawn tennis tournament.

Benilde defeated Mapua University in the men’s division as the duo of Francis Lera and Gian Macaraeg defeated the pair of Al Quiza and Joaquin de Leon, 6-2, 6-4, while Reyniel Marcellana beat Aldwyn Rosales, 6-1, 5-7, 7-5 to give the Taft-based squad two wins. Carl Ubalde, however, fell to Laurenz Quitara, 5-7, 6-2, 3-6 for Benilde to have two wins and a loss in the finals.

In the women’s division, the duo of Dorelle Lagura and Kiana de Asis won against University of Perpetual Help System DALTA’s Lyka Sanoza and Cindy Nuguit, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. Valeri Desoyo defeated Aira Nuguit, 6-0, 6-2 to give Benilde two wins as the match between Daniella Dandanalanin and Christy Sanoza ended in retirement after the first set, 4-6.

San Beda University completed the four-team tournament, which returned after six years.
