Dion Ignacio paid tributed to “Dragon Ball” creator Akira Toriyama by performing an electric guitar cover of the anime’s iconic opening song, “Cha-La Head-Cha-La.”
On Instagram, the Kapuso actor posted a video of him playing the song originally sang by Hironobu Kageyama.
“Kaway kaway sa mga Batang 90s,” Dion wrote in the caption.
Toriyama passed away on Friday. He was 68 years old.
The anime and manga community mourned his loss, including the creators of “One Piece” and “Naruto,” Eiichiro Oda and Masashi Kishimoto.
Toriyama debuted as a mangaka in 1978 with “Wonder Island.” He also created popular manga “Dr. Slump” worked as a character designer for the video game franchise “Dragon Quest.”
However, he remains best known for “Dragon Ball,” which was adapted into anime in 1986. GMA Network has been aired the series since the 1990s.
Dion, meanwhile, has been sharing his electric guitar skills on social media. He previously posted a cover of Rivermaya song “214.”
The father of two is also young at heart with roller skating as one of his hobbies.
Dion previously starred in top-rating murder mystery series “Royal Blood,” which will start streaming on Netflix on March 15.
