Calvin Abueva was slapped with a one-game suspension and a fine of P20,000 for flashing his middle finger at a fan during Magnolia’s game against Barangay Ginebra last Sunday.

The sanction was announced on Wednesday by PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial.

(We talked and he said he was aware that he was wrong. He apologized for what happened… If he does it again, more suspensions and fines will be given. He said he will not do it again.)

Abueva finished with four points as Magnolia fell to Ginebra, 87-77, in the said game.

With this, Abueva will miss the Hotshots’ upcoming game against NLEX on Saturday.
