The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Friday announced that it seeks to deport a man who is an alleged member of a Japanese syndicate and is currently detained in Camp Bagong Diwa.

The man was identified as 49-year-old Tomohiro Koyama who is the “number three” man of the “JP Dragon” gangster syndicate, according to reports from Japan.

The BI said Tomohiro was arrested by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in January for estafa. During his arrest, the Japanese suspect had several firearms and suspected illegal drugs.

Data from the BI showed that he arrived in the Philippines in 2019.

He was included in the agency’s blacklist in 2020 after the Japanese government informed the BI that he is wanted in Japan for theft.

Meanwhile, the BI said that the reports also mentioned 55-year-old Takayuki Kagoshima as another member of the syndicate. It said authorities arrested Takayuki on March 4. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
