President Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will skip the 127th Philippine Army founding anniversary on Friday.
The notification came from the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on Thursday after officials disclosed on Wednesday night that Marcos had developed flu-like symptoms.
The founding anniversary celebration will be held at Camp O’Donnell in Capas, Tarlac.
According to PCO Secretary Cheloy Garafil, all events of the President in the succeeding days have been cancelled.
The PCO earlier said that Marcos and even First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos have been taking fluids and medication to alleviate their symptoms.
So far, the PCO has not released recent information on the First Couple’s health condition.—RF, GMA Integrated News
