Defending world and MPL Philippines champion AP Bren and powerhouse Blacklist International will parade relatively intact lineups when they see action in Season 13 that opens curtains on March 15.
However, both teams will have key changes as well.
Bren is sticking to its main five core who delivered the titles in Season 12 and M5 World Championship last year. Returning for the new season are veterans Angelo Kyle “Pheww” Arcangel and David “FlapTzy” Canon alongside jungler Michael “KylTzy” Sayson, gold laner Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano, and roamer Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo.
The two-time world titlist has also revealed the acquisition of Robert “Trebor” Sanchez, who previously served as an assistant coach for M4 champion Echo. Trebor, who is known for his masterful drafting, will work alongside Bren head coach Francis “Ducky” Glindro as they look to defend their throne.
Meanwhile, Blacklist International has also unveiled its Season 13 roster with the troika of Kiel “Oheb” Soriano, Edward “Edward” Dapadap, and Salic “Hadli” Imam composing the squad alongside Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo and Stephen “Sensui” Castillo.
The Codebreakers shared that Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse will be taking a breather from the competitive scene while the multi-titled organization revealed that the royal duo of Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna and Danerie James “Wise” Del Rosario won’t be making a return from their hiatus.
Renejay joined Blacklist in January 2023 and had seen action in numerous local and international contests while the ‘V33Wise’ has yet to make a comeback since Blacklist’s runner-up finish in MSC 2023.
Echo has also announced its roster with Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno leading the way alongside Alston “Sanji” Pabico, Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya, and M4 Finals MVP Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales. Coach Archie “Tictac” Reyes will remain at helm as they move forward from the exit of prized roamer Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, who left the squad and signed with Indonesian club Aura Esports.
