The tomb of Servant of God Niña Ruiz Abad at the Sta. Monica Parish Church in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte has been opened to the public, coinciding with the official start of her canonization process.
A room in the church has been designated for churchgoers to offer prayers.
In July 2023, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) approved the formal request to investigate Abad’s life.
In March 2024, seven months after, the Vatican authorized the start of the diocesan inquiry into Abad’s life for the process of sainthood.

“We are inviting you to visit the Sta. Monica Parish (Church) [in] Sarrat to visit and offer prayers kay Niña, para in one way, ito ay nag-reremind sa ‘tin sa tawag ng Panginoon na we need to live in a Holy life, at ‘saka para mag-alay ng dasal para kay Niña,” Rev. Fr. Harvey Naval, spokesperson for the cause of Niña Ruiz Abad, said. —GMA Regional TV
