Authorities arrested a suspect who allegedly killed a barangay councilor in Tiaong, Quezon in 2023.
According to John Consulta’s report on 24 Oras, the suspect allegedly killed the victim in June 2023, shooting the victim five times.
The gunman then fled the scene with an accomplice on a motorcycle.
Ten months later, the alleged hitman surrendered to the provincial intelligence branch of the Laguna police.
The suspect was taken into custody at a commercial area in Santa Rosa with an arrest warrant.
(We staked the place out based on the information provided by our assets and determined exactly where this suspect was hiding, so that’s where we got him, where we arrested him.)
GMA Integrated News met the suspect who denied the allegations against him.
(I wouldn’t dare do something like that because I have a good job. I was only tied to the crime because of the motorcycle that I use because it’s in my name.)
The suspect is facing a murder charge. — Sherylin Untalan/DVM, GMA Integrated News
