Richard Gomez throws it back to first 1984 commercial to commemorate 40 years in showbiz

This year marks Richard Gomez’s 40th year in the show business industry.

On Instagram, the veteran actor shared a throwback video of his first commercial in 1984 that became his gateway to the entertainment industry. 

“After this commercial, Mother Lily of Regal Films offered me a film project with Maricel Soriano and William Martinez entitled ‘Inday Bote’,” Richard recalled.

“I’ve met and worked with some of the best people in the business and have been very grateful for what and where I am right now,” he added.

It was also on a commercial that Richard met his wife Lucy Torres.

On Bea Alonzo’s vlog, he recalled feeling sad after learning that the shampoo commercial they both had been doing for five years was coming to an end.

“”Sabi ko, type ko pala ‘tong babaeng ‘to,” Richard told Bea then. 

They married in 1998. Juliana, a 22-year-old fencer, is their only daughter.
