One thing about Pia Wurtzbach is that she knows how to deal with bashers unfazed.
In a L’Oreal Philippines event held on Monday in Intramuros, the Miss Universe 2015 titleholder addressed those who bash her for venturing into the fashion scene.
“Ito naman na nagta-transition ako into a different field, new opportunities, may bago na naman akong naririnig,” Pia said in her speech.
Citing some negative words thrown at her, she said, “‘Hindi ka bagay diyan, beauty queen ka lang, stay in your lane.'”
According to Pia, hearing such words won’t stop her from getting a seat at the table.
“The more you tell me no, the more I’m going to try to prove you wrong,” she said. “Don’t tell me I can’t do something because that is the sure way for me to try to make it happen.”
“Nothing fuels me more than negativities, bashers, naysayers, people who diminish my efforts and my worth,” she added. “People who diminish my worth.”
For the recent Milan Fashion Week, two data agencies, Lefty and Launchmetrics, named Pia among the celebrities who generated the highest media values.
Earlier this week, Pia and Jeremy Jauncey marked their first wedding anniversary.
