Petro Gazz outlasts Creamline in five-setter

The Petro Gazz Angels outlasted the Creamline Cool Smashers in a five-set thriller, 15-25, 25-18, 24-26, 25-19, 15-13, on Saturday in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Brooke Van Sickle had 29 points anchored on 23 attacks, four blocks, and two aces, while Jonah Sabete had 21 points as the Angels improved to 6-2.

Tots Carlos, meanwhile, had 15 points as Creamline was handed their second loss in the conference and tied their record with Petro Gazz.

Prior to this, the Choco Mucho Flying Titans swept the Capital1 Solar Spikers, 25-15, 25-16, 25-21.

The Flying Titans went up to 7-1 and took the solo lead, while Capital1 went down to 1-7.

Meanwhile, the Akari Chargers won in straight sets against the Galeries Tower High Risers, 25-19, 25-17, 25-20.

Akari went up to 3-5 while Galeries slipped to 2-6.
