Vice President Sara Duterte will be the caretaker of the country while President Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is in the United States for the trilateral summit.
Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil on Wednesday said that the Vice President would be aided by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin and Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III.
”It’s always been that way,” Garafil said in a message.
Bersamin also told GMA Integrated News that there are always three caretakers when the President is on foreign trips.
”That’s right. Always 3,” he said.
During previous foreign trips of the President, the PCO only announced that the Vice President would be the officer-in-charge. —NB, GMA Integrated News
