Police seized suspected shabu worth around P3.4 million and arrested four drug suspects in a sting operation on Almonte Street, Poblacion 2, Cotabato City.
One of the arrested suspects was identified as alias “Sampulna.” His alleged illegal drug activities covered the adjacent provinces, including the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Cotabato City, and Davao City.
He was detained in 2013 for drug-related offense in Makilala, North Cotabato.
Seized from the suspects were 13 sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 500 grams, a sling bag, four cellphones, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
During the operation, two minors were rescued and were turned over to the Ministry of Social Services and Development MSSD-BARMM for custody.
The suspects are now detained and will face drug charges.
“PRO BAR will strengthen its partnership with other law enforcement agencies and we are now set on high gear towards eradicating illegal drug activities in the region. We also vow to continue our unrelenting efforts to provide a peaceful community for all, free from the danger of illegal drugs,” Police Regional Office-BAR Director, Brigadier General Prexy Tanggawohn, said. —GMA Regional TV
