QCPD nabs 5 most wanted persons
THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested five of its most wanted persons (MWPs) who are facing criminal cases, acting director Col. Melecio Buslig Jr. said on Tuesday.
Two of those arrested were included in the list of wanted persons of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), Buslig added.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) under Maj. Don-don Llapitan arrested the 6th district-level MWP identified as Dominic Autor, 24, of the city's Barangay Holy Spirit.
Autor has a pending arrest warrant for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Also, CIDU operatives arrested Rudy Dula, 58, of the same QC village, tagged 8th district-level MWP, and 9th MWP in the National Capital Region.
Dula is facing cases for acts of lasciviousness and violation of the Anti-Child Abuse Law, the QCPD said.
Another fugitive facing a car theft case is Jenny Paloma, 31, who was arrested by elements of the Novaliches Police Station, Buslig said.
Meanwhile, LtCol. Romil Avenido of the Batasan Police Station 6 said his men arrested Carlos Miguel Despares, 22, a local resident listed as 8th regional-level MWP for rape in Laoang, Samar.
The fifth arrested MWP is Joshua Niepes, 27, of Calumpit, Bulacan, listed 8th station-level MWP and has a warrant of arrest for robbery, the QCPD chief said.
