The Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for the first quarter of 2024 will be held on Monday, March 25, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) said Friday.
The NSED, which will be led by the NDRRMC through the OCD, will start at 9 a.m.
During the drill, the public will be urged to perform the “duck, cover, and hold” position at the sound of a loud siren.
Authorities will also hold scenarios such as rescues and evacuations wherein disaster response techniques may be practiced.
The NSED is held quarterly to help raise awareness and preparedness among the public. —KG, GMA Integrated News
