Myrtle Sarrosa just joined the “Marikit sa Dilim” trend while cosplaying Ariel from “The Little Mermaid!”

Clad in a purple mermaid bra, an aqua-blue tail, and sporting red hair while on the beach, the Kapuso actress danced along to the OPM song with the viral dance steps.

“Hope I ain’t too late to ze trend. Ariel or Portia? Hmm,” she wrote in the caption.

The Little Mermaid” is a popular Disney animated film based on the fairy tale created by Hans Christian Andersen. It was recently adapted into a live-action adaptation by Disney that starred Halle Bailey as Ariel. 

The adaptation made box office waves on its opening weekend, earning $117.5 million in US and Canadian box offices and another $68 million internationally.

Myrtle is a famous cosplayer before she entered showbiz.  She previously dressed up as Harley Quinn of “Suicide Squad,” and Nami of “One Piece.”

Myrtle is currently seen in GMA Network’s afternoon series “Makiling,” alongside Elle Villanueva and Derrick Monasterio. She is playing the role of Portia, one of the “Crazy Five Plus One” villains in the series that makes Amira’s (Elle) life harder.
