Mikee Quintos on being a scam victim: 'Mas mabuti nang na-agrabiyado kaysa nang-agrabiyado

Mikee Quintos said being a scam victim made her extra vigilant on who to trust.

In the latest episode of “Updated with Nelson Canlas,” the Kapuso actress talked about what she learned after being lured into investing in a fraudulent crypto group.

“Mas mabuti nang ikaw yung na-agrabiyado kaysa nang-agrabiyado,” Mikee said.

She added, she and her partner, Paul Salas, decided to go public about their experience as soon as they filed a case to prevent the group from scamming more people.

“In-expect naman namin, before ilabas ‘yung news, na may mga tatawag sa amin ng ‘tanga, greedy, na gusto lang ng more money,’ ganun,” she said.

“Pero pag hindi kasi tayo nagsalita, lalo lang nila gagawin eh,” she added. “So, sana, sana naman nakakapag-reflect na sila.”

From this experience, Mikee said she learned not to trust people too easily.

“Kahit may tiwala ka na sa tao, think twice pa rin,” she said. “Just to double check, you know, and to take care of yourself.”

In October 2023, Mikee, Paul, along with seven other victims, filed an estafa complaint against a cryptocurrency group after they were supposedly scammed out of P8 million.

Last month, the couple, who went public about their relationship in 2022, showed off their matching sleek silver Mazda cars.
