South Korean actor Kang Tae Oh has finished his mandatory military service.

According to a report on Soompi, Kang was discharged from the military on March 19 after completing his service as an active-duty soldier.

Following his release, Kang expressed heartfelt thanks for the support he received before enlisting and shared how his time in the military helped him break old habits and develop new ones.

“I enlisted after receiving great love from everyone after wrapping up ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo.’ I faced the end of my 20s and the start of my 30s in the military, and it was a meaningful time during which I fixed my bad habits and earned only good things,” he said.

“I will work to impress with great projects going forward, so please show lots of anticipation and love.”

During his military service, Kang delivered the memorandum at South Korea’s Memorial Day ceremony, known as Hyeonchungil, in 2023 and also served as an assistant instructor at the Recruit Training Center.

The actor began his military service in September 2022 and served for one year and six months.

He rose to popularity for his green flag traits as Lee Jun Ho on “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” which also stars Park Eun Bin. The producers of the series are eyeing to have a second season.

Apart from the Netflix hit, Kang Tae Oh was also part of the series “My First First Love” and “Run On.” He is also part of Korea’s first actor group, 5urprise.
