President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday called on Filipinos to be compassionate to others as the country observes the Holy Week.
“As we reflect on the love and selflessness of Jesus Christ, may we also find ways to serve others with the same compassion and grace, spreading love and understanding in our communities,” Marcos said in a message posted on his official social media account.
“We pray for a safe and meaningful Holy Week for all,” the President said.
The Catholic Church had, likewise, urged the faithful to reflect on Jesus Christ’s passion as they engage on religious activities such as Visita Iglesia, processions, and liturgies.
Such activities are meant to deepen spiritual commitment and devotion, according to the Church. —Ted Cordero/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
