A man who tried to collect money worth P100 from a borrower was hacked instead.

The 51-year-old man identified only as “Ramel” sustained wound on the upper left side of his back, near the shoulder, after he was hacked reportedly in Barangay Zone 15, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

According to policemen, alias “Ramel” sought the return of his P100 borrowed by the son of the suspect.

However, the suspect identified only as “Nonoy” learned that the debt was already settled. The son insisted he already returned the money but Ramel said otherwise.

An argument ensued between alias “Ramel” and alias “Nonoy.”

The victim said he has no intention to put the suspect’s son to shame. He said he just wanted to remind him of an unsettled debt.

The suspect turned himself in immediately to the police and arranged treatment reportedly for the wound the victim has sustained.

The victim is not keen on filing charges against the suspect.

The suspect was released from police custody upon settlement. —GMA Regional TV
