After he developed flu-like symptoms last week, President Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. would return to onsite work on Tuesday.

The Presidential Communications Office said on Monday that the President had several engagements scheduled for tomorrow-March 26.

The PCO said that Marcos, as well as First Lady Louise ”Liza” Araneta-Marcos, have completely recovered from their flu-like symptoms and are now in excellent health.

The First Couple’s attending physician has confirmed that they are free from all symptoms, enabling them to promptly return to their regular duties, effective immediately.

Marcos has been in meetings today, according to the PCO.

The PCO earlier said that Marcos heeded medical advice and worked from his residence, handling correspondence and directives.

Following their foreign trips in the previous weeks, Marcos and the First Lady had developed flu-like symptoms, with the President forced to cancel some of his events.

Among the canceled events were the presidential luncheon hosted by the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines and the 127th founding anniversary of the Philippine Army. — DVM/RF, GMA Integrated News
