A man who threatened to spread videos of a 19-year-old victim if the latter won’t see him again was arrested by the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group in Naga City.
According to Jun Veneracion’s report on “24 Oras,” the suspect without consent took videos of the victim and even stole her cellphone to get the contact details of those close to her.
The suspect even claimed to be a policeman.
“Tinakot pa ang babae na member daw siya ng police force sa Naga. Hindi naman talaga sya member ng PNP,” PNP-ACG Cyber Response Unit Chief Police Colonel Jay Guillermo said.

The suspect is now in police custody and will be charged with grave coercion and violation of the Safe Space Act in relation to Anti-Cybercrime Prevention Act.
According to data from the PNP-ACG, women aged 15 to 26 are often the victims of sextortion.
Sextortion is
A 37-year-old suspect was arrested for sextortion after pretending to be a police officer and threatening to spread unconsented sexual videos of a 19-year-old woman.
According to a 24 Oras report by Jun Veneracion on Thursday, the suspect stole the victim’s phone and threatened to spread a video of the victim if she refused to meet again.
He was eventually arrested during a meet up with another woman in Naga City after the 19-year-old victim filed a complaint.
According to the victim, the suspect recorded a sexual video of the victim without consent and stole her phone to gather the details of her closest contacts.
