A man allegedly behind the recent series of shooting incidents in Cagayan de Oro was killed during a police operation morning on Black Saturday.
The incident happened in Barangay Nazareth where cops were supposed to serve an arrest warrant against the suspect, Marlon Jumawan, for murder.
Jumanan allegedly fired shots at the policemen first and attempted to flee. The operatives retaliated and an exchange of fire enused and resulted in the death of the suspect.
Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) Spokesperson, Lt. Col. Evan Viñas, said the police operation was legitimate.
He added that Jumawan was allegedly responsible in the recent series of shooting incidents that stirred the peace and order in the city.
—GMA Regional TV
