A magnitude 6.1 earthquake hit off the coast of Davao Oriental on Friday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said.
The tectonic earthquake occurred at 5:11 p.m. some 149 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso town.
Instrumental Intensity IV was recorded in Malungon, Sarangani.
