Joshua Pacio of Lions Nation MMA walked out of his rematch with Jarred Brooks injury-free.

The pair faced off anew on Friday in Qatar where Pacio emerged victorious via Brooks’ disqualification after the former was slammed on his head. The result saw the Filipino reclaim the ONE strawweight world title.

“Joshua Pacio is clear in his CT scan results,” Lions Nation MMA co-founder Eduard Folayang, who was in Pacio’s corner, said in a sent statement.

“According to the doctor who read the results, there are no fractures, brain damage, or neck injuries. Let’s pray for his fast recovery. Thank God for his protection.”

ONE Championship chairman Chatri Sityodtong, meanwhile, expressed his dismay over the illegal move in the post-fight press conference.

“We have had thousands of fights. To have an illegal spike like that…I was very upset,” said Sityodtong.

Pacio and Brooks first met inside the cage in December 2022 where the latter triumphed by way of unanimous decision.

The highly-anticipated rematch between the pair was one of the three world title fights ONE Championship organized in its first event in Qatar.
