The five-year-old girl who went missing in Pampanga and was later on found in Quezon City has shown signs of trauma, her mother said on Friday.
“Meron po talagang kaunting senyales na na-trauma po ‘yung bata sa kanya (There are little signs that the child was traumatized by him,” said Helen dela Cruz, other of victim Ally, on Unang Balita in an interview.
According to Helen, Ally told them that the suspect, who was seen on CCTV footage carrying the victim, made her believe that he was her father, and that he would sometimes flick his finger at her.
“Sabi niya pinipitik po siya (She said he would flick his fingers on her),” Helen said.
“Lagi po niyang sinasabi ‘yung ‘tatay, tatay’ kasi iyon po iyong sinasabi ng mama sa kaniya, na siya po ang tatay kahit hindi po naman siya iyong tatay. Pinaniwala po niya na siya iyong tatay kahit hindi naman,” she added.
(She always says ‘dad, dad’ because the suspect told her that he was her father even though he was not. He made her believe that he is her father.)
Aside from this, Helen said Ally made gestures indicating that she was made to beg for alms.
Despite the defense of the suspect that he had no bad intention and just wanted to take care of the child, Helen said they are determined to file a complaint against him.
Ally was reported missing in Angeles City, Pampanga on March 17. She was found in Novaliches, Quezon City on Thursday after concerned citizen Janette Escalona recognized her as the missing girl in a 24 Oras news report. —KBK, GMA Integrated News
