Jake Ejercito is clearly mourning the loss of Jaclyn Jose.
On social media, the actor shared an old, gorgeous, black and white photo of his daughter’s grandmother.
The close-up picture of Jaclyn showed the late actress in her younger years. She was unsmiling, but her shoulder-length hair tucked behind her right ear showed a certain kind of softness.
Calling Jaclyn by her real name, Jake only captioned his post “Mary Jane.”
On Instagram, he also added a old photo of Jaclyn dotting on a toddler Ellie.
Jaclyn died on March 2, 2024. Her death was first announced by her agency PPL Entertainment on social media last week.
Jake has been among the most vocal with his grief, posting old messages from Jaclyn, who is the grandmother of Ellie, his daughter with Andi Eigenmann.
“I surely wouldn’t have survived those early years of fatherhood without your guidance,” he said in one of his earlier posts.
Along with Ellie, Jake was also among the first to pay his respects at her wake.
Born Mary Jane Gluck, Jaclyn died on March 2 due to a heart attack. She was 60 years old.
In 2016, Jose won Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival for her mesmerizing performance in Brillante Mendoza’s “Ma’Rosa.” The organization would later also pay its respects for the actress.
Jose’s other notable performances include starring and supporting roles in films such as “The Flor Contemplacion Story” and “Patay Na Si Hesus.” She also starred in several GMA Network series, including “Marimar,” “The Millionaire’s Wife,” and “D’Originals.”
Celebrities and industry colleagues are mourning the award-winning actress and have paid tribute to her on social media.
