Earlier this week, Michael V. uploaded a heartwarming post dedicated to his “Pepito Manaloto” co-workers as well as the show’s beloved audience.
According to Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras Weekend,” Saturday, this made fans worry that it was a goodbye post.
Bitoy, however, clarified that the show is not yet ending its run.
“Diretsahang sagot, hindi,” he said. “‘Yung photo naman na ‘yon, ‘yung group hug na ‘yon…parang remembrance, appreciation. Natuwa lang kami na after all these years, pandemic, magkakasama pa rin kami.”
Manilyn Reynes, who plays the role of Pepito’s wife, Elsa, couldn’t help but turn emotional.
“Naiiyak kami kasi hindi po namin maisip na hanggang ngayon, sa tinagal-tagal ng Pepito, hanggang ngayon, 14 years na kami, talagang nandiyan sila [sa] simula’t-simula. Nakakataba ng puso,” she said.
The stars teased that they had prepared a summer special for their viewers.
