The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) announced it will be screening several Wong Kar Wai 4K film-restored classics along with some Cannes-winning contemporary films in March.

In a social media post, FDCP said it will be screening four Wong Kar Wai classics: “In the Mood for Love,” “Happy Together,” “Chungking Express,” and “Fallen Angels.”

They will also have a show for Justine Triet’s Academy Award-nominated film “Anatomy of a Fall,” Molly Manning Walker’s “How to Have Sex,” and Wei Shujun’s “Only the River Flows” starting March 6.

Other details such as the list of the participating cinemas are yet to be announced.

Last year, Hong Kong actor Tony Leung who starred in “Happy Together,” “Chungking Express,” and “In the Mood for Love,” received a Golden Lion Lifetime Achievement Award at the Venice Film Festival.

Aside from that, Leung won the Cannes Best Actor award for “In the Mood for Love” in 2000, making him the first Hong Kong actor to win the award. The film is often listed as one of the greatest films of all time and one of the major works of Asian cinema.
