Two world champions top the team standings after the action-packed opening week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 13.
AP Bren and Echo, the last two champions of both the world stage and the local scene, boast identical 2-0 win-loss records while Minana EVOS currently ranks third with a 1-1 slate.
AP Bren, which is bannered by the core of Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel, David Charles “FlapTzy” Canon, Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano, Michael “KyleTzy” Sayson, and Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo, opened its title defense bid with a dominant 2-0 sweep of another powerhouse squad in Blacklist International before pulling off a similar 2-0 triumph against a new-look TNC to go unblemished through two matches.
Echo, on the other hand, kicked off its campaign on Saturday with a 2-0 victory against Onic Philippines before closing out the first week with a 2-0 thrashing of Omega Esports as the Orcas started their bid for title reclamation on a resounding note.
Bren will put its clean record on the line next Saturday when it takes on RSG while Echo returns to the Land of Dawn on Friday against RSG as well.
