A floating book fair is happening in Manila!

Brought by MV Doulos Hope, a former cruise ship turned floating library owned by German charity group Gute Bücher für Alle, the international floating book fair is currently stationed at the Port Area of Manila and will be available until April 14.

The floating library will be open from Tuesdays to Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Fridays to Sundays, 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with an entrance fee of P50 per person.

Before its pit stop in Manila, the Doulos Hope also docked at the Rivera North Wharf in Subic earlier this month.

The Doulos Hope is one of the world’s biggest floating libraries and book fairs that visit different countries to bring “literacy and education, cross-cultural cooperation, and social awareness” through the books it carries.

This isn’t the first time the floating book fair has visited the Philippines. In 2015, its other cruise ship, Logos Hope, also docked in Manila to hold a three-month book fair.
