Benilde holds lead in NCAA lawn tennis

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde sat atop the NCAA Season 99 lawn tennis standings after the first two days of action at the Philippine Columbian Association Sports Club in Manila.

The Blazing Netters and Lady Netters had two wins each in the men’s and women’s division to put the Taft-based crews on top. Mapua and San Beda both have a win and a loss each, while Perpetual had two losses in the men’s side.

In the women’s division, San Beda also has two wins against Mapua and Perpetual, while Mapua and Perpetual have two losses each.

Only four teams are competing in the tournament which returned after six years. Benilde and San Beda are the defending champions in the men’s and women’s divisions, respectively.
