Beauty Gonzalez to play Sofia Pablo’s mother in ‘Prinsesa ng City Jail’

Beauty Gonzalez is set to play Sofia Pablo‘s mother in upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime series “Ang Prinsesa ng City Jail.”

According to Lhar Santiago’s report on “24 Oras,” Beauty made sure to attend the story conference of the project right after she returned from her vacation in India.

“Ako naman ‘yung inaapi ngayon so iba namang Beauty makikilala nila,” she said about her role in the series. “Ngayon naman ako naman ‘yung very protective and fighter na mom to Sofia.”

Beauty said she is looking forward to work with the young stars of the series, such as Allen Ansay, Will Ashley, Radson Flores, and Lauren King.

“It’s good to be surrounded by young people. So nakakabata, nakaka-excite,” she said. “I’m excited to learn new things from them.”

Other cast members of “Prinsesa ng City Jail” include Denise Laurel, Dominic Ochoa, Al Tantay, Keempee De Leon, and Ayen Laurel. The series will be directed by Jerry Sineneng.

Beauty currently stars in “Walang Matigas Na Pulis Sa Matinik Na Misis” Season 2. She previously starred in GMA Afternoon Prime series “Stolen Life” with Carla Abellana and Gabby Concepcion.

The Kapuso actress also recently starred on a film with Kelvin Miranda, “After All.” Directed by Adolf Alix, Jr., it was released in Philippine cinemas last February.
