Barbie Forteza on skipping Taylor Swift’s concert: ‘I just feel like it is a splurge for me”

Despite being a certified Swiftie, Barbie Forteza still chose to skip attending Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour.”
In Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras,” Friday, the Kapuso Primetime Princess explained that this is because she feels like it is a “splurge” for her.
“Kasi para sa akin, ito po ay sa akin lamang, I just feel like it is a splurge for me. Sabi ko sa sarili ko, if magpe-perform siya sa dito sa Pilipinas, I will definitely watch it,” Barbie said.
The actress continued, “But to have to spend for a flight, accommodation, and siyempre to maximize your time to wherever she’s performing, parang it’s too much of a splurge, especially I’m coming from just finishing a house. So, parang kasi if it’s just for that, I’d rather spend it for something else. Feeling ko naman magpe-perform siya ulit soon.”
Earlier, Barbie’s fellow star Rain Matienzo, who saw the concert in Australia, gave her some special pasalubong, which made Barbie emotional.
“Mas dun ako na-touch mas ‘yun ‘yung na-appreciate ko, ‘yung effort talaga ni Rain na pumila. Napakahaba ng pila sa merch talaga and ‘yung friendship bracelet talagang made me feel like I was there,” Barbie said.
Barbie and Rain recently starred in “Maging Sino Ka Man” with David Licauco.
Rain also worked with Team BarDa in the historical portal fantasy series “Maria Clara at Ibarra,” portraying Elias’s lover Salome.
