Almadro, Letran ‘on track’ in bringing back glory days

“First, ‘yung discipline nila and the eagerness and the will to change the culture and number one, pagmamahal sa school. If you love your school, ‘yung ‘why’ mo, ‘yun ang naglalabas ng result eh,” Almadro said on Letran’s turnaround in the NCAA Season 99.

“Iisa lang ang goal namin—to bring back the glory of Letran.”

Letran has a rich volleyball tradition, winning seven titles in the women’s division, the last one being in 1999 when the Lady Knights completed a back-to-back feat.

It has also been more than a decade since Letran barged into the Final Four as they reached the finals round for two years in a row in 2011 and 2012, but fell in both times to San Sebastian College-Recoletos and University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, respectively.

Almadro is hoping that his return to the school 25 years since wrapping up his collegiate stint would also bear fruit.
