Amiel Acido and Jan Pagulayan waxed hot as University of Perpetual Help System DALTA defeated Arellano University, 100-79, on Friday in the NCAA Season 99 juniors basketball tournament at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

Acido drilled five triples, while Pagulayan had four treys to extend the ALTAs’ perfect run to five. 

Acido had 21 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and a steal, while Pagulayan had 19 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and a steal in Perpetual’s 21-point win. Lebron Jhames Daep posted 11 points and 10 rebounds on top of two assists, two steals, and three blocks.

Seann Franco paced the Braves with 20 points, while Borgy Reguera and JC Espinosa chipped in 11 points apiece. With the loss, Arellano went down to 1-4.

Meanwhile, Emilio Aguinaldo College snapped its three-game skid after winning against Lyceum of the Philippine University, 77-63.

EJ Castillo had 19 points, while Kelly Coronel had 15 points as the Brigadiers improved to 2-3.

Peter Mulligan had 20 points while Gemel Julio had 10 points for LPU as they remained winless in five games.

Jose Rizal University also registered a win on Friday as they beat San Sebastian College Recoletos, 68-62.

Bien Pinzon had 16 points, while Martin Pineda had 13 points and 13 rebounds for the Light Bombers. Paul Enal had 16 rebounds and nine points as JRU improved to 2-3.

Jhun Penaverde led the Staglets with 19 points as San Sebastian went down to 3-2.
