Kyla has revealed that she suffered a fifth miscarriage in December, just before Christmas.
In an interview on “Magandang Buhay,” the R&B singer said that she and her husband Rich Alvarez have been “struggling for years and years and years” with conceiving another child.
“It’s been really hard, especially very recent lang ‘yung sa amin eh. Just before Christmas actually I suffered another one,” she said. “‘Yun ‘yung biggest challenge.”
Kyla and Rich welcomed their first child, Toby, back in 2013. In 2018, she suffered two miscarriages, and then again in 2021 and 2022.
Despite this, Kyla said that she’s still grateful.
“Kasi at least nabigyan kami ng isa,” she said, getting teary-eyed. “And kung madadagdagan pa bonus na lang ‘yun.”
Last year, Kyla said in an Instagram post that her fourth miscarriage was “unimaginable.”
